The best moment at nelson central was when my friends and I  got together and faced the school netball team and beating them 17-4.

Marahau Camp

On Tuesday 5th room three went to the Marahau camp. When we got to school we got ready to go.

 When we were in the cars we set of. First we went to the recreation center we had a lot of fun there there was rollerblading, ping pong, basket ball and badminton when we left we drove to Marahau when we got there we unpacked.

 The next day we went to Apple Tree Bay we had lunch there and we also swam there. On the way back it started to pour down with rain luckily we had our raincoats with us.

On the next day we had our activities there was abseiling, kayaking and cycling. My group had abseiling first it hurt quite a lot I never did it before so it was quite scary.

Next we had kayaking it was a lot of fun we went round the estuary.

 Then we did cycling it was really fun there was a river we had to cross. Ben and I crossed in the wrong place were the water was about a foot deep so Ben and I got soaked. we started to play and splash each other in the water.

The next day we went back home when I got home I was happy to see my family and to have a  have a good sleep.           

My Cool Simile

In writing we have been writing similes in our recounts to make them more interesting. Here is some of mine:

She was as beautiful as the shimmering stars.
 He was as blind as an Aardvark.
His muscles were as bumpy as the ripples in the sea.
She was as beautiful as a diamond.
The sea shone like the sun.

On Friday 6th of June 2014 the Totara syndicate of Nelson Central School went to Brand ford park to do their cross country. When we got there the year 5 girls went first then it was the year 5 boy's turn.  I went up with the year 5 boys. Dave clapped the clappers and I sprinted off on the muddy grass trying to get to the front of the bunch. People were shoving and pushing. We came to a ditch. I leaped  over while others walked through it. I ran up the hill and over the bridge. I ran down the hill and into the car park.  I saw people clapping and cheering.

ski trip

                             SKI TRIP                                  On Monday 4th August room 1,3 and 15 went skiing at rainbow ski field. They had a lot of fun there. First they went to school at 6:30. When they got to the Rainbow car park,  they went on a shuttle. Then they got a lesson from the instructors and  went down the hill. It was so fun.

My Awesme week at camp

Camp was really fun. My most favourite activity was caving and bouldering. Another activity I liked was archery, I almost got a bulls-eye. I really liked raft building, my team came first. In  go-karting I crashed into a cone and went up the hill. I really liked the ironman event. I had to jump off the diving platform into the water. Camp was awesome.
